SRX Water Block

The Radiical X-Block SRX water block is the first socket water block design from Radiical Computing.

For some time we have recognized that many owners of socket motherboards had limited purchasing options should they wish to watercool their computers. The Radiical X-Block SRX bridges the gap between the socket mount and through the motherboard mounting found on Intel P4 and AMD machines. The SRX can be adapted to all motherboard types by adding adapter plates to suit the particular motherboard/ CPU combination in use.

Our testing indicates that the use of Brass and Copper components in the water block construction permits the SRX to be used as a chiller block at subzero temperatures.

The Radiical X-Block SRX is a cross flow design using our "Rill" technology. Fluid is controlled by the placement of structures which alter flow rate and increase turbulence. The result is a flow rate modified block with high internal turbulence characteristics. The design of this block is ongoing towards a phase change model which will be introduced in the future.

To avoid the frustration of trying to fit over sized tubing such as thick walled Clearflex or Tygon we have provided adequate space to adjust and tighten the tubing to the barbs.

The level of rigidity of the block has permitted changes in production allowing for very flat and strong base plates to be produced. The surface level of finish is shown below.
