Shut off taps are used to control fluid flow. Common uses would include filling and emptying closed loop watercooling systems. The shut off taps can also be used to fill closed reservoir systems or direct the fluid flow to the various components. This Eheim shut off tap is suitable for 10 mm tubing. This shut off tap can used in the configuration below as a three tap filling unit.

These quick connectors can be used to join 10mm to 10mm ID tubing (5/16" to 1/2" approx). They are useful in closed loop systems, such as those watercooling units where no reservoir is used, to assist in emptying out used coolant. Other uses, in conjunction with a tap unit, are the ability to separate for transport Radboxes from main computers.
