Directors Project

This is what Director had to say about his project.

"I started collecting the bits about three years ago in the anticipation of getting a worthwhile replacement for the Athlon XP 2600. Up until C2D came out nothing really got me excited. So I started with the case (CM Stacker. and the main bits of the watercooling gear as in this pic:

So a few months back I started to collect the final parts, mobo(Gigabyte P35-DQ6), HDD's (SG 320's), DVDCD/RW (Pioneer Sata), which gave me enough gear to put the watercooling gear into final position. Here is a pic from the front of the case with the front cover off, the white rectangle is the front of the res.

And finally, the finished product (sans proper video card, only have a 7200 in there atm :-):

And a final shot with the covers and window on:

The goal was to reach 3ghz on a Q6600, a goal which was achieved quite easily using crucial ballistix (D9) ram, 2gb. So all I need now is a proper GPU to finish it all off. I will probably go for an 8800GTS as finances allow".
